Comunicação científica na área da genética

Abstract

Este trabalho coloca em questão a comunicação científica entre os pesquisadores brasileiros da área de genética que trabalham na pesquisa do genoma. A análise objetivou identificar os títulos de periódicos utilizados pelos pesquisadores no período de cinco anos, tendo como limite temporal os anos de 1999 a 2003. Especifica-mente procurou-se: (1) identificar os periódicos científicos de uso efetivo considerados fundamentais na publica-ção de artigos redigidos e de artigos citados pela população investigada e (2) identificar e quantificar os títulos mencionados por esses pesquisadores no Portal de Periódicos da Capes. As informações referentes à produção científica dos pesquisadores foram reunidas e analisadas pela técnica bibliométrica, que permitiu a sistematiza-ção estatística dos títulos de periódicos onde foram publicados os artigos redigidos e os artigos citados pela po-pulação investigada.

[en] This work deals with scientific communication among Brazilian researchers of Genetics which are involved with the genoma. The main purpose of the analysis was to identify the titles of the journals used by this community during a period of five years, beginning in 1999 and ending in 2003. We sought to respond particu-larly to: (1) which were the titles effectively considered for publishing and citing within the investigated popula-tion and (2) which among the titles listed at (1) were available at Portal de Periódicos da CAPES. The informa-tion associated with the scientific outcome of these researchers was gathered and analyzed using the bibliometric technique, which allowed the statistical organization of the journals used by this population.
